The union between England and Scotland – is being subverted presently by the Red Nationalists in Scotland – and the question is “how did we Brits allow this to happen?”
The simple answer is the Labour party – who in their attempts to maintain their dominance in Scotland (they had won 56 out of the 72 Scottish seats in ‘97) and even though under no pressure on the subject of devolution decided to prioritise their supremacy there – over that of Great Britain (and the mutual interest of England) by organising and campaigning for Scottish devolution.
Hence in ’98 – the Scottish parliament was created – with certain devolved powers – that now include setting tax rates

And from this we now have a situation where– England is re-opening from manufacturing and engineering to the hospitality sector – to reduce the tax payer furloughing bill….and Red Nicola keeps Scotland in major lockdown – threatening to close the border with England whilst keeping their “hands out” for UK furlough subsidies
Thank you, Blair and the Labour Party– the Iraq fiasco will NOT be your biggest failed legacy but the breakup of the United Kingdom will be!!
