The Ukrainian – Russian war is now approaching its 2nd winter of conflict – and with neither side close to a military breakthrough – the British position needs to change from that of a military and financial donor to either a constructive conduit for a peace agreement or if that is not possible, a position of financial neutrality.

And the Populist position is simply, whilst the Ukrainian peoples have our sympathy – we can no longer afford to either financially or militarily contribute. Enough is enough.

Since the Russian invasion – Ukrainian officials and their Globalist friends – have made continuingly ever-increasing demands for better and better high tech military equipment, each one requested as it being the key to winning the battle, followed weeks later – with a more technological new demand.

Winter 2022 – Challenger and Leopard tanks, Spring 2023 – MIG jets, Spring 2023 – Cruise missiles, Summer 2023 – cluster munitions

And yet – even with this increased weaponry and 12 newly trained battalions launching the summer offensive – within days it came to a halt due to the defensive positions and tactics of the Russian General Surovikin.  Apart from increasing casualties on both sides and increasing wealth for the military industrial complex – virtually no land has changed hands in the last months.

Prigozhin’s (and the Wagner legion) revolt in the summer gave cause for optimism – but neither the Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy or the Globalists had either the courage (or the financial will) – to react positively – and Putin and his regime survived.

In this period Great Britain’s debt – has increased from 75% of GDP to over 90% (after socialist Sunak’s China flu policies of “Eat out to Help Out”, “state paying employees to sit at home”, “wasting billions on below standard PPE”) – and now with its failed migrant policy and continuing contributions to this specific war – has allowed debt to pass 100% of GDP

And this debt comes at a cost – with Government bonds being forced to offer over 6% per annum in interest – just to service this “spend spend and tax tax” socialist Sunak’s agenda.

In Ukraine – they have the reverse situation – where their international reserves surpassed 31 billion USD.

Unlike Britain who at the end of WW2 – after saving “democracy” left the war with record debts – the Ukrainians, whilst sacrificing their poorer citizens are hoarding record gold and bank reserves – and maintaining a corrupt bureaucracy that has allowed tens of thousands of wealthier Ukrainian men to exit the country (including their footballers)

As the 45th President – Donald Trump prophesised

German dependence on Russian energy was a bad choice and would not be sustainable. He was right!

Unless NATO members spent their promised 2% on GDP – they were be unable to react to future conflicts. He was right!

And Britain and its people have a simple choice – if we want a working National Health Service – then contributions to Ukraine have to stop, Hospital beds for our citizens or bombs for Ukraine.  We cannot afford both!
