The political fiasco over the last 3-months has clearly shown that the majority of Conservative MP’s no longer represent the “alarm clock class” who diligently work each day for the benefit of their families and for their country.
A class of people who seek,
- Lower taxes to differentiate their lives, their spending powers from those who choose not to work and not to contribute
- Small government – where each pound needs to be wisely considered and wisely spent
- Borders that are protected by the full force of the country and
- Freedom of speech that includes the rights to protest but within the rules of our society’s laws.
Instead, the Westminster class of Conservative MP’s have decided (or sat on their hands) as the opposite course of actions have been taken – and socialism / globalism has now become Tory Westminster policy.
In July – we questioned Truss’s ability to explain her economic blueprint (as we supported Badenoch leadership claims.)
And her position to reverse the National Insurance hike, to lower the start tax band and her reversal of socialist Sunak’s corporation tax hike – all were logical, and all had our support.
Yet simultaneously she announced a 2-year energy price cap – with a taxpayer estimated cost of £150 Billion – on top.
Instead of limiting any cap – to that of a low usage household – with any excess on top being at fair market value (i.e., an incentive to save energy) – she entered the Socialist game – of a “Mummy” state – giving a blank cheque to the energy companies to over charge (but now charge the State and not the PR disaster of charging the citizen) A energy sector that in the UK that had allowed unscrupulous companies like Bulb – to greatly profit and then self-collapse.
And it was this socialist energy cap that sunk her economic plans and any likelihood of balancing the books (that should be entrenched in law).
And yet – rather than reverse this energy cap stupidity (she sacrificed her Chancellor, Kwarteng) – proving that loyalty and Conservative MP’s – can once again not be said within the same sentence.
And for what purpose?
Thatcherism – whom Truss said she admired – has been betrayed – not because of tax cuts or cancelling tax increases BUT because of a political desire to be “liked” by joining the Reds in their energy caps (which just like every other price cap is doomed to failure, Nixon price cap on oil, the price commissions and pay boards set up by our 1970’s governments).
And her weakness (maybe stupidity) in not controlling the message (not having a Lee Cain in number 10) allowed the Globalists and their banker and media friends – to attack the tax issue as being “obscene” and not the blank cheques being issued to the energy companies.
Maybe Just Stop Oil should spend more time campaigning about this taxpayer funded energy wastage instead of their idiotic vandalism – but then again – as they are funded by billionaires within the Los Angeles-based Climate Emergency Fund (CEF) – they possibly only do what their American Bosses demand.
And this weakness – has cut the final link – between the Westminster Conservative class – and their continued plotting for “Red Sunak” and the Brexit populists who put them in power.
