{"id":2794,"date":"2023-10-29T10:28:15","date_gmt":"2023-10-29T10:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/?p=2794"},"modified":"2023-10-29T10:28:15","modified_gmt":"2023-10-29T10:28:15","slug":"ukraine-war-and-the-populist-position","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/?p=2794","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine War \u2013 and the Populist position"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ukrainian \u2013 Russian war is now approaching its 2<sup>nd<\/sup> winter of conflict \u2013 and with neither side close to a military breakthrough \u2013 the British position needs to change from that of a military and financial donor to either a constructive conduit for a peace agreement or if that is not possible, a position of financial neutrality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And the Populist position is simply, whilst the Ukrainian peoples have our sympathy \u2013 we can no longer afford to either financially or militarily contribute. Enough is enough.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since the Russian invasion \u2013 Ukrainian officials and their Globalist friends \u2013 have made continuingly ever-increasing demands for better and better high tech military equipment, each one requested as it being the key to winning the battle, followed weeks later \u2013 with a more technological new demand.<\/p>\n<p>Winter 2022 \u2013 Challenger and Leopard tanks, Spring 2023 \u2013 MIG jets, Spring 2023 \u2013 Cruise missiles, Summer 2023 \u2013 cluster munitions<\/p>\n<p>And yet \u2013 even with this increased weaponry and 12 newly trained battalions launching the summer offensive \u2013 within days it came to a halt due to the defensive positions and tactics of the Russian General Surovikin.\u00a0 Apart from increasing casualties on both sides and increasing wealth for the military industrial complex \u2013 virtually no land has changed hands in the last months.<\/p>\n<p>Prigozhin\u2019s (and the Wagner legion) revolt in the summer gave cause for optimism \u2013 but neither the Ukrainian leader <strong>Zelenskyy or the Globalists had either the courage (or the financial will) \u2013 to react positively \u2013 and Putin and his regime survived.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In this period Great Britain\u2019s debt \u2013 has increased from 75% of GDP to over 90% (after socialist Sunak\u2019s China flu policies of \u201cEat out to Help Out\u201d, \u201cstate paying employees to sit at home\u201d, \u201cwasting billions on below standard PPE\u201d) \u2013 and now with its failed migrant policy and continuing contributions to this specific war \u2013 has allowed debt to pass 100% of GDP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And this debt comes at a cost \u2013 with Government bonds being forced to offer over 6% per annum in interest \u2013 just to service this \u201cspend spend and tax tax\u201d socialist Sunak\u2019s agenda. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In Ukraine \u2013 they have the reverse situation \u2013 where their international reserves surpassed 31 billion USD.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Unlike Britain who at the end of WW2 \u2013 after saving \u201cdemocracy\u201d left the war with record debts \u2013 the Ukrainians, whilst sacrificing their poorer citizens are hoarding record gold and bank reserves \u2013 and maintaining a corrupt bureaucracy that has allowed tens of thousands of wealthier Ukrainian men to exit the country (including their footballers) \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the 45<sup>th<\/sup> President \u2013 Donald Trump prophesised<\/p>\n<p>German dependence on Russian energy was a bad choice and would not be sustainable. He was right!<\/p>\n<p>Unless NATO members spent their promised 2% on GDP \u2013 they were be unable to react to future conflicts.
