{"id":2718,"date":"2022-07-01T13:14:57","date_gmt":"2022-07-01T13:14:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/?p=2718"},"modified":"2022-07-01T13:17:12","modified_gmt":"2022-07-01T13:17:12","slug":"sunak-inaction-as-britain-burns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/?p=2718","title":{"rendered":"Sunak inaction as Britain burns\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just as Emperor Nero fiddled as Rome burnt down \u2013 we have a Chancellor who has gone \u201cmissing in action\u201d as hard-working British families are facing the dire consequences of his <strong>mismanagement<\/strong> of the country\u2019s finances.<\/p>\n<p>Increase in money supply (M2) leads inevitably to inflation \u2013 and his abandonment of all fiscally conservative policies in 2020 and 2021 (with billions wasted and billions stolen) has led directly to inflation hitting 10% &#8211; which in turn has increased the cost-of-living challenges that our people are facing.<\/p>\n<p>Massive growth in public debt \u2013 that he advocated and signed off on \u2013 has led to rising interest re-payment costs \u2013 additional billions being ploughed into dysfunctional public services \u2013 is throwing good money after bad \u2013 along with the hundreds of millions stolen by fraud in his badly planned and disastrously executed \u201csocialist\u201d schemes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>He seems to have forgotten that public services are paid for by the private sector and not vice versa \u2013 and without a thriving private sector \u2013 the economy will continue to tank. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The solutions whilst painful \u2013 have to be faced \u2013 or Sunak single handed will bring Britain into a long (and not short) recession \u2013 and blaming \u201cgreedy workers\u201d \u2013 the Russia \/ Ukraine war are all fairy tales that will not deceive the British people for long.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflation must be squeezed down<\/strong> or the cycle of higher borrowing costs (that we are facing), need for higher salaries (private and public sector), increased cost of production will spiral out of control.\u00a0 Whilst it can not be tackled in one swoop \u2013 the Bank of England must counter Sunak\u2019s inflationary policies by <strong>raising interest rates<\/strong> \u2013 we suggest by an immediate 1 and a quarter % &#8211; to <strong>2 \u00bd%<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This interest rate move will (unfortunately) reduce economic growth and consumer spending BUT will reduce inflation and will appreciate our exchange rate (making energy imports cheaper)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green taxes <\/strong>\u2013 must either be <strong>ELIMINATED<\/strong> (which we would support) \u2013 <strong>or held<\/strong> to a maximum \u00a3159 per \u00a31,277 energy bill. Presently as energy prices rise \u2013 so does this green stealth tax \u2013 and the VAT revenues alongside it.\u00a0 <strong>As Britain suffers \u2013 the Treasury smiles! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuel duty should be abandoned<\/strong> \u2013 and the stealth tax of 52.95 pence per litre should ONLY be considered for re-introduction \u2013 once petrol forecourt prices drop below \u00a31 a litre.\u00a0 This policy would finally focus the Exchequer on ensuring wholesale prices are accurately passed onto the consumer \u2013 rather than prices go up \u2013 but never go down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The above will at least soften the pain for the majority \u2013 the hard-working families of Britain \u2013 and reduce the cost-of-living crisis.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the other side \u2013 \u201cBig State\u201d spending must also be reversed \u2013 and as an immediate first step,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspension of Overseas Aid<\/strong> for the remainder of the fiscal year<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rejection of any further Prime Minister promises<\/strong> to Ukraine (after this last \u00a31 Billion promise this week) for the remainder of the fiscal year<\/p>\n<p><strong>We need to return to a low tax, highly motivated people \u2013 and not Sunak\u2019s socialism by the back door<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just as Emperor Nero fiddled as Rome burnt down \u2013 we have a Chancellor who has gone \u201cmissing in action\u201d [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":2719,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[13,11,8],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2718"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=2718"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2718\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2721,"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2718\/revisions\/2721"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/2719"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=2718"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=2718"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=2718"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
