The decision by the US Supreme Court \u2013 not to hear in full the Texas lawsuit against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin \u2013 is terrible news \u2013 for those Americans \u2013 (according to a Reuters poll of November 13th<\/sup> \u2013 17th<\/sup> \u2013 which consisted of 68% of Republicans, 33% of Independents and 16% of Democrats) who felt that the election process and counting was rigged.\u00a0 In simple words 40% of Americans who overall felt the election was flawed<\/strong><\/p>\n

And for many of us in the Free World \u2013 if this can happen in the United States \u2013 then how can we protect election fairness across here.<\/p>\n

In our view, the lawsuit issued by Texas requesting the Supreme Court to hear the Texas law suit \u2013 which was based on ensuring the \u201cthe integrity of our election processes is sacrosanct and binds our citizenry and the States in this Union together. Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin destroyed that trust and compromised the security and integrity of the 2020 election. The states violated statutes enacted by their duly elected legislatures, thereby violating the Constitution. By ignoring both state and federal law, these states have not only tainted the integrity of their own citizens\u2019 vote, but of Texas and every other state that held lawful elections\u201d \u2013 was a lawsuit that the 9 justices should have had the courage to accede and accept the case \u2013 study the evidence \u2013 and then make its final decision.<\/p>\n

To circumvent this request \u2013 shows that the Court \u2013 rather than strengthening the rule of law \u2013 has allowed itself to be bullied by the Democratic party threat to \u201cpack the court\u201d with additional justices \u2013 just as Roosevelt \u2013 another Democrat – had threatened in 1937 \u2013 after many pieces of his New Deal legislation was deemed un-constitutional.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then \u2013 just as now \u2013 the Supreme Court bowed to this external \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d pressure.<\/p>\n

Of the nine present justices \u2013 only two \u2013 supported hearing the Texas law suit – Justice Samuel Alito Jr and Justice Clarence Thomas<\/p>\n

The three justices who had been selected by the Trump administration \u2013 Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett \u2013 all voted to reject the Texas claim.<\/p>\n

Reflecting over the last 4-years of the President’s rule – we may reflect that one error that was made – was not enough due diligence was undertaken by the President’s circle in the correct nomination of judges – instead relying too heavily on Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell recommendations – a Senator who in no way represents the Populists who will support Trump to the very end.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
