{"id":2214,"date":"2020-07-20T08:55:50","date_gmt":"2020-07-20T08:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/?p=2214"},"modified":"2020-07-21T07:01:34","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T07:01:34","slug":"bad-choices-made-by-the-british-government-in-dealing-with-the-china-flu-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/far-right.co.uk\/?p=2214","title":{"rendered":"Bad Choices made by the British Government in dealing with the China Flu pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>The positive feelings in January 2020 \u2013 when the Johnson government fulfilled their pledge to the British people and left the European Union (entering the transition period) \u2013 soon saw the first admissions from the Chinese Communist party that a new virus had been identified in Wuhan, China (either via a wet market or just as likely from a release from one of the state controlled laboratories) that would soon bring a pandemic to the Global community.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As multiple cases of this China flu \u2013 hit Europe (and a cover up in an Austrian ski resort) \u2013 the UK government hesitated between a \u201cherd immunity\u201d solution (where the population would possibly come into contact with the virus and in time, \u201cbuild\u201d up our own immunities) as Sweden would follow \u2013 or a \u201clock down\u201d strategy (social distancing, households isolated) which was being followed by the larger nations to the South, namely France and Germany.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Government chose the second route \u2013 lock down \u2013 \u201cStay at Home \u2013 Protect the NHS \u2013 Save Lives\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>And with this \u2013 into all of our lives entered <strong>Big Bad Government<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Far-Right has no belief in Big Government \u2013 we believe that an individual should have full control over their own lives, their own destiny, their success or their relative failure is based on their own skills, enthusiasm and ambitions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Government should assist and not dictate in a society\u2019s development \u2013 Government should SERVE all the people and NOT act as robbers in taking from one to give to another.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>But in Match 2020 \u2013 we saw Big Government intervention \u2013 and we witnessed its failures and also the costs that will be passed onto the people \u2013 after this crisis is over.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>The basic principle that a Member of Parliament (typically coming from marketing, legal or trade union professions) who has NEVER run a company \u2013 NEVER made a profit \u2013 can be entrusted to run a Government department with an annual budget measured in Billions of \u00a3 &#8211; supported by civil servants \u2013 where success and failure NEVER results in being fired is an immediate RECIPE FOR FAILURE<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>So, with the decision to enter lockdown \u2013 with society being forcibly shut by <strong>Big Government <\/strong>\u2013 the economic impact from the China virus was going to be massive.\u00a0 Not only would the service industry be devasted with enforced closures but sectors like manufacturing would be impeded with the new travel and work restrictions, and consumer confidence that is required for multiple businesses like the car industry would grind to a halt.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Market forces would weigh down on the supply curve\u2026with demand diminishing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>With supply outweighing demand \u2013 the market would only find equilibrium with either reduced supply (job losses) OR reduced supply prices (operating losses) BUT the market would find in a short period \u2013 the correct position.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>But it might be brutal \u2013 like in 2008 \/9 \u2013 and the economic shock would create some winners and many losers \u2013 But \u2013 <strong>it would stabilise during the crisis<\/strong> \u2013 and if Government could avoid too much interference in the market \u2013 whatever the political price \u2013 it would be in a far stronger position \u2013 post pandemic.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Instead the Johnston Government decided to intervene \u2013 and to intervene BIG<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Job retention scheme<\/li>\r\n<li>Paying up to \u00a32,500 per month (80% grant)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>7,500,000 employees were put into the furlough scheme (this is NOT including those on self employed support) with little or no checks \u2013 so the cash rich Premier league football clubs could have their hands out for cash \u2013 with as much right to collect as a local based family engineering firm<\/li>\r\n<li>\u00a311 Billion is being paid each month in this scheme (\u00a311 Billion which \u2013 we all know \u2013 BIG GOVERNMENT will want back REGARDLESS of who benefitted from this scheme and who didn\u2019t)\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>And according to certain financial surveys, 2 \u00bd million of these jobs being PROTECTED \u2013 are now unviable jobs (in tourism, hospitality, entertainment) so BIG GOVERNMENT is paying for job\u2019s that are NO LONGER there.\u00a0 In other words, the tax payer \u2013 <strong>us<\/strong> \u2013 is throwing good money after bad.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In addition<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>A call was made to Volunteers on March 24<sup>th<\/sup> \u201cYour\u00a0NHS\u00a0Needs You&#8217; \u2013\u00a0NHS\u00a0call for\u00a0volunteer\u00a0army\u2026The\u00a0NHS\u00a0is \u201crallying the troops\u201d for the war on coronavirus.\u00a0 Our people responded as always, with 750,00 volunteering \u2013 to do whatever to help.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>In June\u00a0Sir Simon Stevens, head of the NHS \u2013 admitted that only 300,00 volunteering <strong>\u201ctasks\u201d<\/strong> had been outsourced to our Volunteer Army \u2013 and if we assume that in a 90-day window, each volunteer could do at least 5 \u201ctasks\u201d \u2013 the Far-Right believes that less than 10% of this Volunteer Army may have been used.\u00a0 What a waste!!<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) shortages were widely reported \u2013 along with a mass of Chinese companies buying PPE and shipping back to Red China. Once again, BIG BAD GOVERNMENT steps in to bring PPE back to the UK.
