According to the web site Gun Violence Archive – on 11th April 2021 – 42 people in the United States lost their lives due to a gun crime on just that one day…and yet the Red Liberal Media only highlighted the one death in the whole of April – that related to a black motorist who was killed – seemingly accidentally by a Police Officer in Minnesota.
It is a sad indictment that the other deaths obviously do not either fit the narrative that they are desperate to highlight or are even worthy of a single sentence in their “newspapers.”
And instead, front pages are devoted – to protestors, demonstrators, activists – trying to make a social point through violence and destruction.
Margaret Thatcher once argued that “the media are all important. For newspapers and television, acts of terrorism inevitably make good copy and compelling viewing. The hijacker and the terrorist thrive on publicity: without it their activities and their influence are sharply curtailed”
Whilst we are not equating the law-breaking activists in Minnesota with the hijacker – we are equating the point – that it is the front-page headlines, the rolling news coverage from the “news” outlets – that are encouraging / enflaming the situation – and news editors must be held accountable under “incitement laws” if there are any more deaths during these demonstrations.
