You can still see on poor quality Black and White film – the images from Moscow in the 1930’s – where motivated by a mixture of paranoia and as a political cover to hide and misdirect criticism of each 5-year economic plan failure – the Stalinists would stage their show trials – in front of a baying hand-picked audience and with the podium packed with individuals whose careers had been based on blind obedience and not intelligence.
In Washington DC we are witnessing the Democratic Party staging their own show trial – in front of its own baying audience of identity politics progressives in the Capitol and the Globalist Red media.
Ably playing the role of the presiding judge, in the original – Vasily Ulrikh – a loyal NKVD member – is Nancy Pelosi. (even though we do question whether Comrade Stalin would have chosen an 80-year old to play such an important role)
Among the hysterical pre-trial evidence was the likes of the Red, Ocasio-Cortez and her claim to have been hiding for her life in the Capitol – only for it to be subsequently discovered that she was in fact in an office block a good safe distance from the disturbance. But – it does keep the similarities alive – as at one of the Stalin show trials – old Red Eduard Holtzman was accused of conspiring with Trotsky at the Hotel Bristol in Copenhagen in 1932 – even though that hotel had been demolished in 1917.
We hope that – unlike in Moscow – brave populists being led by Senator Ted Cruz – will ensure that the charges against President Trump will be quashed – as all the evidence judged on a legal basis is unworthy of even reaching this “show trial stage”.
Which leaves us with the poignant question – why the impeachment?
Are the Red / Progressives so short of ideas on how to govern that they need to misdirect the eyes of the electorate – or are they so scared of a Trump revival – or “a sell-out to Red China is on the cards”?
